Hyalgan Information:
HYALGAN is an injectable medication that is sterile mixture made of sodium hyalrunonate. It is used to relieve pain for people suffering from osteoarthritis. Hyalgan is very similar to the joint fluid that acts as both the lubricant and shock absorber to the knee. Treatment consists of one injection of 2ml syringe to the problematic knee. The patient will undergo this treatment a total of 3-5 times once a week, as determined by your physician.
Hyalgan Side Effects:Common side effects that have been experience by those who have had Hyalgan treatments have included – swelling of the knee, loss of appetite, headaches, stomach pain, vomiting, and/or nausea. If any of these side effects do not subside, please consult your physician.
Hyalgan Precautions: Before using Hyalgan, please disclose any reactions you may have to foods, preservatives, and/or dyes. If you have any skin diseases in the injection area, you should not have this product administered to you.
