NeoVisc Information:

Neovisc is a type of viscosupplement therapy used to assist in relieving pain for those suffering from osteoarthritis in the knee. NeoVisc is a 1.0% solution of highly purified sodium hyaluronate. This solution is used to restore the cushioning and lubricating properties of the synovial fluid (joint fluid) in the knee. Treatment for Neovisc consists of one injection of 2ml per week for a 3 week period. For those individuals that have worse cases of osteoarthritis, a doctor may recommend a treatment period of 5 injections in a 5 week span.

NeoVisc Side Effects:

Swelling, redness, and minor pain are potential side effects. If any of these symptoms persists, consult your physician.
